The second phase of the heavy metal pollution control project of Xiangtan City
Project Description: The channel is an irrigation channel from the west to the east. The mining of manganese ore is the main cause of heavy metal pollution in the channel. At the same time, the water body is also a receiving water body for the discharge of wastewater from Xianggan and Electrochemical Plants, surrounding small-scale mining, mineral processing, smelting and deep processing enterprises, and has long been affected by surrounding mining tailings and heavy metals. The slag is leached and eroded by rain, so it has become a river channel with serious heavy metal pollution. The heavy metals deposited in the sediment are becoming one of the major hidden dangers of drinking water and drinking water in Tan 2 City. In order to eliminate potential safety hazards, combined with the “Overall Plan for Comprehensive Environmental Improvement of Xiangtan Manganese Mine Area”, the Management Committee of Xiangtan Economic and Technological Development Zone organized the second phase project of Xiangtan City.
Project Content: The second phase of the project will control and control the heavy metal contaminated sediment in the 4.11km section of the Qianlong Canal to the Huaqiao Section.
Technical route: According to the terrain and sediment pollution along the canal, the channel will be dredged, and the sediment will be solidified/stabilized to reduce the leaching toxicity. After reaching the safe landfill standard, it will be sent to the designated place for safety. Landfill.
Restoration effect: The dredged sediment of the treated canal reaches the entry requirements of the industrial solid waste landfill in the manganese ore district.
